The Perch

Community Guidelines

Play it as it lies.

Effective August 16, 2026

The Perch works because people trust the scores, the boards, and each other. Post real rounds, treat people the way you would on a first tee, and keep the feed something you'd show your playing partners.

Post scores you actually shot. Don't fabricate rounds, pad a handicap, or sandbag one - the handicap only means something if everyone's is real. Hosts can require attestation on competitive rounds, and repeated fake scoring gets an account restricted.

No harassment, hate, threats, or pile-ons - not in chat, not in comments, not in a group. Trash talk between friends is golf; targeting someone who wants no part of it isn't. Don't impersonate other people, and don't share someone's private information.

Photos and videos should be something the whole foursome would be comfortable seeing: no sexual content, no violence, no illegal activity. Don't spam - no bulk promo in chats, comments, or event pages that aren't yours.

If you host, the event page has to be honest: real course, real date, real price, and you deliver what people paid for. Hosts who take money and don't deliver lose hosting privileges and, where it applies, get reported to their payment provider.

Depending on severity we'll warn, remove content, restrict features, or close the account. Fake-money and safety issues skip the warning. If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice or write to hello@perchgolf.com and a person will take a second look.

See something that breaks these rules? Email hello@perchgolf.com with a link or screenshot. Reports stay private.
